Pricing & Margin Improvement
Understand what the work really costs, where margin is leaking, and how pricing or mix may need to change.
Small Business Consulting
Project-based consulting for business owners who have identified a problem, opportunity, or objective and need experienced help getting from insight to implementation.
Legacy Operating Partners works alongside ownership—not above it—to solve practical financial and operational problems, implement changes, improve performance, and build a stronger business.
From Insight to Implementation
Some engagements begin with a formal Business Performance Review. Others begin because the owner already knows what needs attention: pricing is wrong, margins are slipping, collections are terrible, reporting is useless, systems do not talk to each other, a department is underperforming, or growth has exposed a problem that used to be manageable.
Legacy Operating Partners helps turn that problem or opportunity into a practical project. The work may involve analysis, planning, implementation, vendor coordination, financial modeling, process redesign, management support, or simply getting into the details until the issue is actually resolved.
That work often crosses functional lines because small-business problems rarely stay in one lane. A financial issue may become a process issue. A systems problem may require vendor management. Growth may expose a temporary leadership or capacity gap. We step in where the business needs help, then build toward the point where the work can be handed to the right long-term person, provider, or system.
The engagement is built around the business and the objective—not a canned consulting program.
Where Consulting Can Help
These are examples of the kinds of projects Legacy Operating Partners can take on—not a fixed menu or prescribed methodology.
Understand what the work really costs, where margin is leaking, and how pricing or mix may need to change.
Improve receivables, billing, working capital, payment processes, or other issues keeping earned money out of the bank.
Reduce friction, clarify workflow, improve accountability, address bottlenecks, and make the operation easier to manage.
Build accounting, reporting, budgeting, or management-information processes that give ownership useful visibility.
Improve or replace software, telecom, web hosting, merchant and payment-processing systems, websites and digital infrastructure, or other service-provider relationships when they are part of the broader operating problem.
Model the economics, resources, capacity, and risks involved before committing capital or adding complexity.
Something else broken? That may be the project. The first conversation is about the business problem, not fitting it into a service package.
Why “Operating Partners” Matters
For many owners, the company represents years of work, financial risk, relationships, family sacrifice, and a large part of what they hope to leave behind.
That legacy may mean building a business that provides more freedom for the owner today. It may mean creating something strong enough to pass to the next generation. It may mean preparing the company so a future buyer can carry it forward. Or it may simply mean making sure years of effort turn into something durable and valuable.
Legacy Operating Partners approaches consulting as a partnership with ownership: understand what you are trying to preserve or build, then help make the business stronger enough to support it.
How We Work
What needs to change? What result matters? What would make the engagement worthwhile?
Money, people, systems, time, ownership priorities, and the realities that determine what can actually work.
Enough structure to execute well, without forcing the business into somebody else’s generic playbook.
Work with ownership, staff, vendors, lenders, accountants, attorneys, or others as needed to move the project forward.
Project-Based Fees
Consulting engagements are scoped around the problem and the objective rather than forced into a standard monthly package.
Some projects make sense on an hourly basis. Others are better handled for an agreed fixed project fee. Where the improvement is measurable and the economics make sense for both sides, a performance-based or success-based component may also be appropriate.
The structure is agreed before the work begins so ownership understands how the engagement is expected to create value.
A Business Performance Review can provide an independent financial and operational review and help identify where attention is most likely to matter.

Legacy Operating Partners is based in Smyrna, Georgia. In-person consulting is most practical throughout Metro Atlanta and the surrounding region, roughly within 150 miles.
Many projects can also be handled remotely. For the right engagement, work can extend nationally, with travel and lodging incorporated when being on site materially improves the result.
